THE PRESIDENTIAL CARIBBEAN CUP RETURNS TO ARUBA
The island nation of Aruba has become one of the most sought-after vacation destinations in the world, and now it’s also become one of the hottest fishing venues in the entire Caribbean. Once again for 2018, the Presidential Caribbean Cup will call this island nation home, as it hosts the seventh annual international billfishing competition. The event is scheduled for October 18-21, 2018, which will coincide perfectly with the height of the marlin season. The opportunities for blue marlin are especially good, with enough white marlin and sailfish to offer an excellent opportunity at a coveted "Grand Slam" of all three billfish species in one day.
Aruba enjoys a sunny climate and offers a stable government, safe, family-friendly environment, good year-round weather out of the hurricane belt and convenient air service, in addition to magnificent beaches, world-class SCUBA diving and fantastic billfishing.
We are pleased to announce that a new bar/restaurant has opened at Varadero Marina! The Fishhouse is now open and will be hosting our breakfasts and catering our awards dinner. This is a great place to hang out when you return to the Marina after fishing.
HOST HOTEL: RENAISSANCE ARUBA RESORT & CASINO
The Renaissance Aruba Resort is centrally located and surrounded by great shopping and a wide variety of restaurants. The Resort has a private island where guests are taken by free launch. There are two large casinos on the property as well.
HOTEL RESERVATIONS:Anglers wishing to book rooms at the event's host hotel, the Aruba Renaissance, MUST book their rooms through the tournament in order to receive the preferred tournament discount--do not call the hotel directly for reservations. Please contact the tournament staff for more information.

Wednesday, October 16, 2019: Teams begin arriving in Aruba. Airport Shuttles will be available beginning today. No planned tournament activities today.
Thursday, October 17, 2019: Observers arrive today. Airport Shuttles will be available per schedule. Shuttles also available to take anglers from hotel to marina.
Observer Meeting - 5:30pm Fishhouse Restaurant, Varadero Marina
Registration – 4-6pm, Varadero Marina
Rules Meeting - 6-7pm, Varadero Marina Patio
Welcome Party: 7-10pm Welcome Party at Varadero Marina Patio; cash bar, live entertainment
Friday, October 18, 2019: First Day of Tournament Fishing.
Breakfast at Varadero Marina sponsored by Fishhouse Island Bar and Restaurant.
After fishing cocktails, hosted by Fishhouse Island Bar and Restaurant. Snacks and music
GUEST LUNCHEON: Pelican Pier Restaurant - 12:30pm Transportation provided to the luncheon.

Saturday, October 19, 2019: Second Day of Tournament Fishing.

Sunday, October 20, 2019: Final Day of Tournament Fishing.

Cocktails and snacks available at the dock after fishing sponsored by Fishhouse Restaurant. Shuttles available to take people back to the hotel, and from the hotel to the Awards Party at Varadero Marina.
7-8pm: Cocktails
8-11pm: Party and Awards Presentation at Varadero Marina Patio
Monday, October 21, 2019: Departure day
Shuttles available to take anglers, observers, sponsors and VIPs from hotel to airport per schedule.
